Jesus the Incarnation of Christ
The Apostle John refers to this very Christ as the Word.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Later in his letters to his students, he states:
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete. I John 1:1-4
John also tells us that “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
Once, during a walking meditation I understood what “only begotten” meant. God is the original Spirit, the essence of ALL things. Out of this original Spirit came the Christ or the Word. Christ was begotten of the original Spirit. All things were created by Christ. Nothing exists that was not created by Christ.
Christ was the only begotten of God. All else were created by the Word. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us in a human form that we call Jesus Christ.
Jesus is not just an ordinary man!
Many New Thought teachers believe that Jesus is just like us. According to them the difference between you and Jesus is that Jesus has evolved into the Christ Consciousness. They claim that if that were not so, then we would never be able to experience the life that He demonstrated on earth.
What they do not understand is that Jesus Christ came to earth with a mission that when completed would make it possible for every human being on earth to be transformed into Divine Being of Light, expressing the Inner Christ through his/her outer self doing the works He did and even greater.
I will explain more about His mission on earth but in this post I want you to understand that Jesus is truly the incarnation of the Cosmic Christ. There is not a speck of daylight between Jesus and Christ.
When you seek the Christ within, you are seeking Jesus because He is the incarnation of Christ. When you seek Jesus, you are seeking the Christ within.
With the understanding the Jesus is the incarnation of Christ you will be able to receive the gifts He came to give to humanity. You will be able to benefit from His mission on earth. Believing that Jesus is just a man makes it impossible to understand the revelation of God’s purpose for humanity, now and throughout the ages to come.
Jesus is the missing link for many New Thought and Metaphysical students in their efforts to understand the metaphysical meaning of the Bible and their ability to manifest the supernatural life He claimed we could have.
I plan to write more on the Revelations of Jesus in future post. Stay tuned for more revelation!
